We're a family-run catering business based in Burscough, West Lancashire, and everything we do is driven by a simple belief: that great tasting food, served with warmth and care, can turn any occasion into a lasting memory.

It all started back in 2001, when owner Steph Collinson made a big decision — to close the family beauty salon and try something completely new. Armed with a passion for cooking and a trusty butty van, Lourdes Deli was born.

The early days weren't without their challenges. The first pitch, a lay-by in Burscough, proved tricky, so Steph moved on to a new spot in Scarisbrick. It was there that the phone rang with an unexpected opportunity, Southport Football Club were looking for someone to provide match day food for their fans. Steph said yes, and things began to snowball from there.

Word spread quickly. The match day food service grew, event catering followed, and before long Steph had opened her own café, Lourdes Deli, serving a wide variety of freshly made food to a loyal and growing customer base. The café became a real community favourite, and the event catering side of the business went from strength to strength.

Over time, the focus shifted. After the arrival of another daughter, Steph made the decision to step back from the café and concentrate fully on what had always been closest to her heart — bringing incredible food to people's special occasions. Today, Lourdes Catering & Events operates from home, offering a fully flexible catering service delivered to venues across the North West.

From birthday parties and christenings to corporate events and outdoor festivals, we now provide a wide range of catering options — buffets, in-house cooking, and on-site kitchen setups — all food freshly prepared on the day and served with the same personal touch that started it all.

We've come a long way since that first butty van, but our values haven't changed one bit. We still put the same love, care and passion into every meal we make, and we still get that same buzz from seeing people enjoy their food.
